Monument "to Romagnosi":

monumento a romagnosi Immersed in a flowerbed, stands the statue of austere Giandomenico Romagnosi, eminent philosopher, judge, patriot, born in Salsomaggiore in 1761, who has dedicated his life to "give its lights for the resettlement of the government."
Opened in 1874, the monument was started by Christopher Marzaroli, but completed two years later by the sculptor G.Cornish, who also designed the bas-relief on the back of the base which represents the Marzaroli absorbed before the statue of Romagnosi.
