The Nostalgia:

La nostalgia The delicate and immature female image, where you can catch a sense of melancholic, was created by Salsomaggiore-born artist Christopher Marzaroli between 1864 and 1865.
The "sculptor poet", now considered one of the best Italian artists of the nineteenth century, has created with this work a valuable summary of anatomical realism and academicism, full of romantic sensibility.
After exposure of 1865 in Florence, Nostalgia was successfully presented at the Universal Exhibition of Paris in the First National Congress of Art, held in Parma in 1870, and awarded with the gold medal.
